Pick 4 is a simple game to understand as you just have to follow the name of the game and select four numbers - each one between 0 and 9. However, there are a few more parts to a playslip than you might find with other lotteries. Follow the steps in the guide below to help you buy a ticket for the next draw.
Draws take place at 1:10 PM ET and 6:55 PM ET, so you need to play before tickets cut off at 1:00 PM ET and 6:45 PM ET.
Decide how to play before you do anything else. You have multiple options in VT Pick 4 - Straight, Box, Pair or Single Digit. Go to the Ways to Play page to find out about each type of wager.
Select one number from each of the four columns on your playslip (numbered 0 to 9). If you're playing a Single Digit or Pair wager, you only need to choose one or two. Get a Quick Pick if you would prefer a random selection.
Pick 4 doesn't have one fixed price point. You can wager as little as $0.50 per play, or spend as much as $5. It's a big decision, as you can win more if you put more down.
Specify whether you want to play the Day draw, the Evening draw, or both. You can enter up to 21 consecutive Day or Evening draws, or 42 in a row if you select both draw times.
To win a Pick 4 prize, you have to meet the conditions of the play type you have selected. A Straight play, for example, requires that you match all four numbers in exact order, but you win a Box if your numbers are drawn in any order. The prize you can win depends on how you play, and the payouts also increase proportionally as you wager more. Visit the Odds and Prizes section to find out all the potential payouts.
