All the payout amounts in Pick 4 are fixed, so you are guaranteed to receive the advertised prize if you win. However, the Tri-State Lottery which runs Pick 4 in Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire has a limit for how much can be paid out in total for a single draw. This limit is set at $200,000 for each state's gaming system ($600,000 in total). When the number of bets placed reaches this threshold, the Tri-State Lottery has the right to suspend wagers on particular number combinations.
